stmnt 1 - 4x^2 - 8x > 4x^2 -7x => -8x> -7x => 8x < 7x => x is -ve so (-x) is a +ve number. So answer to question "Is (-x) a negative number?" is NO. hence suff
stmnt 2 - x can be -1, 1,2 or any +ve number- not suff
