Well we know that rs !=80. In DS questions we don't have to prove that the answer is correct, even if we can prove that the the answer is incorrect it is sufficient.
For instance if rs^2=6400
this statement is insufficient sine we don't know if rs = +or- 80.
However since we know rs=40 it is sufficient to prove that rs!=80.
