"least integer greater than or equal to a" means integer "just" greater than a.
solving for 'a' - (-2)+(-5)+(2) = -5
Answer is 'A'

The greatest integer function, [x], is defined in general as:
[x] = the greatest integer lesser than or equal to x
= the next integer immediately to the right of the number x on the real number line
=> [x.abcd] = x+1
Examples: [1.2] = 2; [-1.2] = -1
For this question, the greatest integer function uses the symbol << >> instead of the usual [ ]
<<-2.9>> = -2
<<-5.6>> = -5
<<1.2>> = 2
Sum = (-2) + (-5) + 2
= -5
The answer is (1) or (A).
