I encountered this prob in Gmat club test.
My question is simple:
Why we write m = 3n for m is three times larger than n (This is how it has been solved in the test section of GMAT club) . Shouldn't it be m = 3n+n=4n ?
The question doesn't say m is three times of n. Instead it says m is three times larger than n.
Please clarify me!

Then the wordings of question are misleading. Moreover, it'd also be a bad way to convey m=4n, if it really wanted to convey so.
From other questions that I have seen, proper wordings could be:
If m is three times as large as n
OR simply,
If m is three times n
Please tell me the set & the question number.
