When Q is divided by W, the quotient is R and the remainder is E. Which of the following expressions is equal to E?

RW + Q 
RW - Q

Ok really someone please tell me whats the different between Q-RW and RW-Q

Coz this is just nonesense for realy i got it wrong and put down RW-Q

Madzstar, not sure I get ur question, but that's like the difference between 7 - 4 (= 3) and 4 - 7 (= -3)

With your answer, the sign will be inverted

Q/W = R + E/W
Q -RW = E
Amswer: C

Other way can be picking numbers,

we know when 9 is divided by 4, quotient = 2 and remainder is 1
So Q = 9, W = 4, R = 2, E = 1
Substituting, these values in the equation , we are looking for an 1 as the answer
RW + Q = (2)(4) + 9 = 17 
RW - Q = (2)(4) - 9 = -1, 
Q - RW = 9 - (2)(4) = 1, which is the same as our remainder, CORRECT answer
QW - R = (9)(4) - 2 = 34 
Q/R = 9/2 = 4.5
Answer: C

The difference between Q-RW and RW-Q, is that the sign will be inverted.
