Area of the plot = 80*60=4800
Area of the (plot-road) = (80-5*2)*(60-5*2) = 3500 ( as within the property)
So Area of road = 1300 IMO B

80*60 - 70*50 = 4800 - 3500 = 1300

Why is the length 80-10 and width 60- 10 rather than 80-5 and 60-5 ? I am missing something here

Rose2012 this question is similar to a picture frame question. The point is when the length on 2 sides get shortened by 5 the width gets shortened by 10. Similarly for length. So we do 2*reduction.
