I agree with B.

The youngest child Jane could have baby sat would be when Jane was the youngest ( and able to baby sit). That would be 18. Therefore, the child would have been 9. Since Jane is now 32, 14 years have passed which would make the child's age 14 + 9 = 23.

Guys,

The main clue here is 'Atmost'.. which means the maximum.

So the age of the youngest child cannot be more than 23, but less.
Since we have 21, I think it more appropriate.

Lets see what is the OA & OE.

Jane started baby-sitting when she was 18 years old, however, she only baby-sat children that were, at most, half her age. Jane is currently 32 years old, and she stopped baby-sitting ten years ago. What is the current age of the youngest child that Jane could have baby-sat?

A. 21
B. 23
C. 25
D. 27
E. 29

Plz, provide the solution.

Jane 18 19 20 21 22
Baby 9 10 10 11 11
So 11+10=21 the answer is A

I agree with 23.
the Q is asking - What is the current age of the youngest child that Jane could have baby-sat - This does NOT mean the youngest as of today BUT the youngest at the time of baby sitting. Hence the ans = 9 + 14=23
She began with 18 so the youngest child could have been 9 years old that time. Now she is 32, 14 years older, so as the child.

It's B 23
9 should be the age of the eldest child as per the question stem..Isnt it?

The youngest child can be 1 yr old.In that case 1+14=15, which is not in options..Can anyone explain?

Wouldn't this translate to her potentially baby-sittiing anyone less than or equal to half her age?

"she only baby-sat children that were, at most, half her age."

Example-If she was 22, half her age is an 11 year old ,however, in theory, the child could have been minutes old when she baby-sat. 10 Years + X Minutes is still a 10-Year old.

Can someone explain how to rule this out, with the wording provided in the stem
