Hi all,

I think the wording of the question is a little bit confusing as it says that the first commission is earned on all sales Between $200 and $600. So as I understood from the question, commission is not earned on sales up to $200. Correct me if I am wrong but shouldn't it be up to $600?

And by that method ( of going with the exact wordings of commission given only over $200 sales ) we get -

$600 - $200 = $400 * 5% = $20 (1)

$800 - $600 = $200 * 8% = $16 (2)

So $20 + $16 = $36. Option D.

Bunuel can you please help us get rid of this ambiguity?

I am really not satisfied with the OA!
The question says that the commision is earned for all the sales between 200 and 600! So for the first 200 is not due!
600-200 = 400x0,05 = 20
800-600 = 200x0,08 = 16

The answer must be 36 not 46! Or the question should be rewrited at least

Hi MvArrow,

Exactly what I pointed out a couple of days ago in my post right above yours... kindly check before posting to avoid redundancy. :-)
