S is defined like that: If the tenths digit of the decimal is even, up to the nearest number.(For example: 1.2 = =>2, 1.8= =>2) If the tenths digit is odd, down to the nearest. (For example: 1.1 = =>1, 1.9= =>1). 1/3 of all the decimals have an even tenths digit. Then, T-S would be:
(1) -16 (2) -6 (3) 10

Guessed,... It cannot be more.. cos we are reducing more of the numbers than we are increasing!1

we are increasing 1/3 and decreasing 2/3 in effect the change shud be 1/3.


Since 6 is a multiple of 3... I chose 6!

Since what we are considering is the decimal part of a number, it doesn't effect if we assume the part before "." is 1
+The maxium increase of 10 numbers is 10 ( exclusively ) in case each increase is from 1.00000.........000000001 to 2
+The minimum increase of 10 numbers is 1.1...... in case each increase is from 1.899999999999...... to 2
+ the maximum decrease of 20 numbers is 19.99...... in case each decrease is from 1.9999... to 1
+ the minimum decrease of 20 numbers is 2 ( exclusively) in case each decrease is from 1.100.... to 1
----> S > T + 1.1 - 19.99 = T - 18.89
And S < T + 10 - 2 = T + 8
---> -8 < T- S < 18.89

Uhm, looks like -6 and 10 are okie.

Is S the sum of the described numbers? Or is S the series of such numbers? If so, the solution should be -6. I can post the answer when someone clarifies.
