Is it 40%
Neil completes his job in 7.5 hrs if he works individually...so in 3 hrs his percent of work done would be 3/7.5 i.e 40%

If Bob can do the whole job in 5 hours, he can do 3/5 of it in three hours. Thus Neil does 1-3/5= = 2/5 of the job in 3 hours

Answer: 40%

Combined rate Rc = 1/3
Bob's rate = 1/5
Neil's rate = 2/15

In 1 hour Neil completes 2/15th of the job, in 3 hours, he completes, 2/5th of job. i.e. 40%

Answer: 2/5 = 40%
