-B- by using the answers

R+B=14 --> R=14-B

R=2B-4 --> 14-B=2B-4 --> 3B=18 --> B=6

So if B=6 then R=8 and (6+1)=(8-1) ... Got a Winner

Yep... its official... I have gone nuts or :drunk :drunk :drunk :drunk

Couldn't figure this one out on the test and guessed.. wrongly ofcourse!! :wall

Took me a few minutes to realize that :

r = b-2 and not r = b-1... !! ME :rocket

Just practicing here :) Don't be too hard on yourself, haas... happens to the best of us (and you've got to be one of the best :D )

solving for the two equations

r = 2b-4
and r -1 = b + 1

we get b = 6.
Hence r = 8.

Total marbles = 14.

Wrong Expectations leads to frustration

what we all should expect from ourselves is

working hard , consistency , persisitency , will and determination not results( universities do this job on behalf of us)

dont be upset ... it is not the test yet

I personally learn from your posts and explanations , so u cant just kill ur self with Bazookas for this

Let B=Blue R= Red

Red=2B-4

Red=Blue when Red is exchanged with Blue
2B-4 -1 = B +1

B=6

Red: 2(6)-4=8

8+6=14 balls

yep 14 is correct

yah!
