i know we are looking for 1/a+1/b+1/c, but why do you multiply by 2, and where do you get the numbers for 1/a, 1/b and 1/c from ?

1 hr.

1/A + 1/B = 5/6
1/A + 1/C = 2/3
1/B + 1/C = 1/2

2(1/A+1/B+1/C) = 5/6 + 4/6 + 3/6 = 12/6

(1/A + 1/B + 1/C) = 1

Hence 1 hr.

Wow +1 for this. Thats very creative. This prob took me a whopping 4min b/c I was tryin to manipulate and just got messed up all over the place.

neelesh is multiplying (1/A+1/B+1/C) by 2 b/c all 3 equations give us just this.

1/A + 1/B = 5/6
1/A + 1/C = 2/3
1/B + 1/C = 1/2

See how we have 2 of every variable?

Again very nice!

Black belt, All we needed was the value of 1/a + 1/b + 1/c and neelesh did smart thing by getting it by adding all 3 equations... nice manipulation.
