This is definitely a Revenue - Expense Calculation

Casper - you are multiplying 24 to the first part incorrectly

Should read
(24-1/3)*200-(24x)=2x24

=(16*200)-(24x)=48x

Hope this helps!

Total purchase price = $ 24x

Remaining coffee = 2/3(24) = 16 kgs --- one-third got spoiled

Selling price = $200/kg

Total sale price = 16*200 = $3200

Profit = 3200 - 24x = 2*24x = 48x

=> 3200 = 72x

x = 44 + 4/9

Answer C
