The total displacement of the men is 150 x 8 = 1200 cubic meters.
The rise in water level = 1200 cubic meters / (width x length) = 1200 / (90 x 40) = 0.33cm

Option 5 is the answer, I think.

In a swimming pool measuring 90m by 40 m , 150 men take a dip. If average displacement of water by a man is 8 cubic metres, what will be the rise in water level?

1. 30 cm
2. 50 cm
3. 20 cm
4. 25cm
5. 33.33cm

Soln: Total displacement is 150 * 8 = 1200 cubic metres

Now since the swimming pool is 90 * 40, thus the rise in water level x can be found by
1200 = 90 * 40 * x
x = (1/3) meters or 33.33 cms

Ans is 5th option
