i am falling back on reading comprehension. i start and realy lose the track, i am not able to paraphrase the long ones. any way to map out these tough paras???

I think ur lack of reading habit is probably causing you the problem. So, Start reading a lot, u may try gmat fiction ( there are gmat books recommended by bb), you may even try wsj or nyt or look at my signatures down below.
Start paraphrasing small passages and gradually move to long ones.
keep practicising till you achieve the required proficiency.

You need to focus on reading strategy
1) Figure out the topic of the passage
2) Figure out author's perspective on that topic - follow key transitive phrases
3) Cut the Fluff - skip over the details and rest of the paragraph once you've determined the direction the author is taking
4) connect the dots - draw a picture of the overall passage and what it is trying to convey.
Reading Comprehension - no amount of reading tons and tons of material will help you. It may improve your familiarity with reading...but with comprehension, you'll need to focus on comprehension. This means understanding what the author had in his/her head through a medium which is the passage.
Focus on the author's perspective - don't get bogged down into all the words on the page.
