Hi,
I have my GMAT in a month, and im getting totally frustrated because i cannot improve on RC. SC and CR are pretty doable but i cannot improve beyond 50% for HARD RCs and 75% for Average RCs.
I dont know whether i should be content with the accuracy or keep trying. i have just a month in hand and havent improved much in the past one year also.
should i rather concentrate on SC and CR, with just average practice on RCs?
Please advise.

Hi!
What kinds of strategies have you tried in order to improve? The biggest issue that test takers typically face with reading comprehension passages is pacing. The initial read through should be a quick read. I recommend that my students spend 2-2.5 minutes reading the passage and noting passage type (explanatory/analytical/opinionated), scope, and purpose (intimately related to passage type and scope). I also recommend that they make a brief roadmap (5-7 words per paragraph) for the passage while reading. This roadmap allows students to hone in on the correct paragraphs for the answers to the detail questions.
As for your particular situation, if you believe that you have tried everything you can think of for reading comprehension and cannot improve, then I would focus on your strengths of CR and SC. Perhaps you can cut down the time on those questions (while being careful to not make any careless mistakes), and thus save more time for the RC passages. 50-75% correct on a weakness is not bad.
