sorry I didn't quite understand.

What do you mean by CR? and what do you mean by " 10 mins for a 4-question longer-sized RC passage " ?

Isn't the reading the comprehension section tested first? How much time should one spend for READING THE PASSAGE and how much time should one spend PER QUESTION?

Thank you :)

We are talking about GMAT or TOEFL or GRE?

On the GMAT, CR questions are randomly spaced throughout the 41-question section in groups of 2-4 questions (usually 3-4) that go along with the passage.
I spent 10 mins per passage and 4 questions that came with it. How much it was per question vs. passage - I don't know. I think 30 secs per question would be average and 8 mins on the reading portion approx.

can someone please tell me the structure of the verbal section of the GMAT exam?

Will there be questions from different subsets i.e reading comprehension, critical reasoning and sentence correction, in a sequence or will they all be in a random order? For instance, first question could be a CR question, second one could be sentence correction and so on and so forth.

How do we know how much time to spend on each question? Some questions are easy, some are too hard. I stumbled upon a Reading Comprehension question on which I spent 25 mins just to understand the passage. Is that reasonable? Can someone guide me? I just want to know what the standard is for time management for this section.

GMAT. I still dont understand what you mean by CR. Im asking for READING COMPREHENSION, should that be RC and not CR? CR would be critical reasoning.

How is it possible to spend half a minute on reading comprehension question. You have to go to such detail to answer each question.
In the exam, will we be given questions in sequence by each section or are they given in a random order?

I suggest that you take a practice test - MGMAT, Veritas Prep, others all offer free practice tests. Take it and you will be much better informed and equipped. You want to take a practice test so you know where you started and can track progress and visualize improvement.

Good Luck!
