Can anyone tell me the difference between a clause and a phrase?

In grammar, a clause is a group of words containing a verb. Sentences contain one or more clauses. There are finite clauses and non-finite clauses.
A phrase is a short group of words that people often use as a way of saying something. The meaning of a phrase is often not obvious from the meaning of the individual words in it.
A phrase is a small group of words which forms a unit, either on its own or within a sentence.

In sum, I'd say that a clause is consisted of "subject + verb", and that a phrase is consisted of "(adjective +) noun".

I often visit Seoul, Japan, Taiwan for business & I have seen my colleagues there fight with english a lot, they are very much afraid of TOEFL too........but I see some people like gamjatang who are simply superb in English. Hats off to you guys!
