Here two independent clauses are joined using comma + conjunction. The dependent clause is a part of the first indepedent clause - your confusion would get cleared, if you realise that a combination of an independent clause and a dependent clause as a whole is an indepedent clause. The structure here is as follows:

[Indepedent clause 1.1+ dependent clause 1.2] + Independent clause 2

1.1+1.2 together makes the independent clause 1

So your interpretation under point 3 is not correct - the structure you see (dependent clause, AND independent clause) is a result of taking this part in isolation.

Thanks a lot for clearing the concept of [Indepedent clause 1.1+ dependent clause 1.2] + Independent clause 2 .

I have one last query for the above concept, So how to Identify the dependent clause 1.2 is part of the 1st clause and entirely the whole sentence is making Independent clause, and Independent clause. Is there any particular rule or purely based on meaning we need to proceed.
