can someone explain ?

I am sure "BROADCAST" is singular

I believe politics is singular as well... politics, physics, aerobics etc... all singular

Hey , Broadcast is plural .
example : As a whole, the television networks that broadcast in the United States are the largest and most distributed in the world

whereas Broadcasts is singular .
Ex : Nowadays , a TV broadcasts at a given time .

This made me smile! It's singular as a noun, but plural as a verb.

The safest, surest way to figure this out is to try plugging it into a very simple sentence and using your ear. (If your spoken English is very weak, this might not work, but it should work for the majority of students.)

"The broadcast IS starting now", or "The broadcast ARE starting now"?

"THEY broadcast the show", or "HE broadcast the show"?
