this one is not for gmat..
anyways, the statement tries to say that it is not worthy on senator's part to declare that he is not running for the next term, when he had a flamboyant/public fund raising campaign.
futile (worthless) is not what is senator's attempt, it is insincere (disingenuous). And, his fund raising campaign was public...not a secret (clandestine). ...!!!

Yes. It is not not GMAT, and it is GRE, which is also administered by ETS.
Currently, I would be taking both GMAT [in Feb 2004], and GRE [in Dec 2003] at the same time, as I am not sure if I can get into a MBA school, or any Master program. So, I am sending in applications to two different Master programs at the same time, and I need both scores.
I feel some of the styles, format, words between the two tests are quite related e.g. the comprehesion, which I find them ore literary for GRE as compared to the ones from GMAT. I would appreciate if MBA hopefuls can assist me in my questions here.
If anyone is strongly against GRE here, I would not post any GRE questions here then.
