hi,

i also thought what u thought .... but the oa is the other choice.

i guess that simple menstrual cramp is so "simple" that no medical cure was needed.something like common cold which can result from over 200 viruses and that's why we dont have a definite medicine for it because we dont know which virus caused it.

i'd really wished that choice 2 was correct because i never want to imagine these things!!!

The key is the early 20th century part. At this time there was no cure for simple cramps, so that explains 1

The doctors mistook a treatable disease, endometriosis, for something untreatable, simple cramps, and therefore said that there was no cure for the problems.

but how do we know that these docs knew which disease was treatable and which one was not???
if u can name a disease endometriosis..bla bla bla..doen't mean that u knw it is treatable.
is AIDS treatable???

It's when they miss their menstrual cycle that you have to start worrying :wink:
