Hello to everybody on this forum.
I'm seeking for assistance and guidance. On my both tests I scored below average in verbal section, although my verbal was always above 80% on various GMAT preparation simulator programs. I cannot get it what is the problem. My weakest point is SC. I usually score around 50% on it whatever I do. I've already read elements of style, a grammar book and, of course, I reviewed all the strategies offered in multiple preparation guides. It is humiliating for me. I spent a year in US in the grad school and speak fluent English, but my verbal is worse than my friend's. What should I do? Would appreciate your suggestions and thoughts.

If you have gone through the various GMAT guide books you may have already done this, but people on this forum speak very highly of the Manhattan GMAT SC guide. I also thought that it was pretty good at getting the basics down.
When doing practice questions, focus on quality over quantity. It is much more important to spend an entire day on one question to understand the answer than go through problems quickly *thinking* you understand the concepts.
Do not move on to the next question until you can prove why all the wrong answers are wrong and why the correct answer is correct.
Supplement your SC books with grammar and usage websites such as Bartlebys.com
Additionally, participate in the forum, there is a lot to learn here!
Some non native speakers may have some additional advice.

The most important aspect of mastering SC. DO NOT skip the other choices without a deep analysis.
