(B) because of the chemical compositions of the pesticides already in wide use - Same errror
(C) due to other pesticides already in wide use, whose chemical compositions have been - Correct its a going on action so have been
(D) since, due to the chemical compositions of other pesticides already in use, those pesticides have been - repeating pesticides redundant
(E) because of other pesticides and their chemical compositions already in use, which have been - and is ambiguous here not required

I will go with E.
I think because of is preferable here. "has proven ineffective" is a verb form and so because of fits well.

Whats the OA ?
