Pay attention to the time clue recently The shepherd's body was only recently found, so it wouldn't make sense to put the discussion of "How long ago did he live?" in the past. Is, in (A) and (D), must be correct. It's also
important to be able to recognize and quickly eliminate illogical choices like (D). (D)'s wording doesn't really make sense. If the dead person is "thought of as apparently living," he wouldn't be a corpse.
