As Parliament is the legislative government body of great britian, the Assemblee Nationale is the legislative government body of France.

a. same
b. As the legislative government body of great britian is Parliament,
c. Just like the legislative government body of Great Britian, which is Parliament.
d. Just as Parliament is the legislative government body of Great Britian, so
e. Just as the Government of Britian's legislative branch is Parliament.

it doesn't use the correct structure .... As is .., so

and it seems to suggest that ... the Assemblee Nationale is the legislative body ...because parliament is legislative body....

instead of comparison...causal effect relationship is much more evident...

and it means

I will go with A. So should be followed by "to be", which will not be the case with D.

just as X...,so Y too is the pair

as is X ... so is Y
X and Y should follow parallelism

Now consider the below given case :
Lets follow POE

As Parliament is the legislative government body of great britian, the Assemblee Nationale is the legislative government body of France.

a. As Parliament is the legislative government body of great britian -> this seems to give reason for rest of the statement.Incorrect Eliminate .If we use As is the parliament the legislative...,so is the Assemblee Nationale the legislative .....
b. As the legislative government body of great britian is Parliament, -> this also appears to justify the second part of the statement.Elminate
c. Just like the legislative government body of Great Britian, which is Parliament. -> awkward Eliminate
d. Just as Parliament is the legislative government body of Great Britian, so -> this is best of the lot. since it uses just as X ,so Y
e. Just as the Government of Britian's legislative branch is Parliament. ->incorrect
