Hi , Can we use Since to give reasons i.e can it replace because in sentences. For eg :
Since/Beacuse Roger has worked for this site so carefully, we should award im te contract. I feel since is usually used in sentences like "Since 1920 ... "
Please explain. Thanks

Since can have a few meanings. You are correct that "since" is generally used to convey the passage of time, however, it can also be used to mean the result of something or to identify support for a conclusion. I don't think the usage of meaning a result of something or to identify support is very popular or used often. On the GMAT, I would stay away from answers that use Since in this manner. Most of the time, using "because" is going to be much clearer and most likely the correct answer choice.
