nero44> I also tried to use the same s####y Kaplan strategy to solve this assumption CR but it unfortunately rendered the wrong answer.

OA is C.

OE:

Explanation:
Step 1: ID Question Type and Task
Assumption Question
Task: Find the assumptions.

Step 2: Read the Argument and Extract Necessary Information:
The jump from professional and street racers in the premise to only racing authorities indicates that this argument makes an Illogical Leap. Illogical leaps are typically indicated by poorly reasoned logic rife with lapses in word choice that can change the meaning of a sentence or argument in unexpected ways that the author ignores. The specific assumptions here are:

Street racers follow professional racing authorities.

Step 3: Formulate an Answer to the Question
The assumptions are the answer. Look for a choice that talks about street racing.

Step 4: Eliminate Answer Choices:
Eliminate A, D and E since they don`t talk about street racing.

Step 5: Chunk and Compare
B versus C
Since C talks about racing authority and uses the actual term street racers instead of hot rodders it is a better assumption. Eliminate B
Choose C
