Pre think , We can safely assume that the salary of the Chefs and Hotel Managers is same...
(C) is the closest ( talks abouts the salary of the Chefs & Managers )
Salary of the Chefs' = 120
Salary of the Managers = 100
Post salary increase -
Salary of the Chefs' = 132 ( Increase in salary is 12 )
Salary of the Managers = 108 ( Increase in salary is 8)
Hence option (C) is the answer..
Why other options are incorrect -
a) The Chefs' Union has many more members than does the Hotel Managers' Union.
Number of members is not important...
b) The Chefs' Union is a more powerful union than is the Hotel Managers' Union.
Unions bargaining power is irrelevant...
