Negating this – “The furniture manufacturing industry would  not  return to its traditional raw material with a vengeance in the coming years” – will weaken the arg. Coz if the furniture manufacturing returns to traditional raw material that is wood(furniture can be manufactured using material other than wood also) then trees will be cut and carbon dioxide produced by our cars will not be absorbed much, resulting warmer earth.

No, such questions will not appear in the actual exam. I don't know the source of this question. The question does not make a lot of sense and comes with an expectation of too much outside knowledge (such as the traditional raw material of furniture industry is wood).

Questions from unknown sources often do more harm than good. I suggest you to stick to official sources and the curricula of standard test prep companies.

Expecting test takers to know about furniture industry and use that knowledge to answer a question is not acceptable practice in GMAT. And that is just one of the problems with this question. It is not a GMAT quality question. What is the source?

This is a poor question. It is forcing me to Assume that "Wood" is the traditional raw material of Furniture Industry.

Thakurdas  I don't need to be an expert on furniture industry to know that wood is a traditional raw material, however even things like wood-polish, tacks, nails, adhesives, paint are traditional raw materials of the furniture industry. Also when we say "Traditional" what time in history do we freeze and say, this is what should be considered as traditional vs modern?

It is definitely not a good quality question but hey! look at the bigger picture here.

Only option A addresses the core weakness in the argument that there should be no other factor that will affect the "saved trees-pollution control" cause-effect relationship.

The furniture issue discussed above is one issue with the question. But the most glaring assumption here is that the argument assumes that if we counteract the emissions from cars, we'll nearly solve global warming. That's not even close to being true. Anyway, it's not a good question at all, but that's the assumption I'd be looking for among the answer choices.
