Paddy,
Can you elaborate on the difference between E and C?

I am lost...

paddyboy
Hmm. E, is it?

A - We need an assumption here, this is not one. Out.
B - Weak assumption.
C - Out of scope. We are not talking about other people here.
D - Contrary to question stem.
E - $$$

If you negate it, the argument falls apart... took a lot of time on this one

(C) can not be the correct choice.
Note that it does not say that all interested in improving their intellects are not interested in money.

(E) is the correct choice.

C is interest

E is concerning money, which takes it closer to the argument.

Of course it is between C and E.

Finally settled on (E) because C is making too extreme of an assumption.

I dared to differ from GMAT gurus and I picked D.

Conclusion – Companies rarely hires people who have PhD in liberal Arts.

Assumption: PhDs in Liberal Arts actually interested in joining business world. If they do not at all apply for business jobs and pursue something else, argument falls apart.

What is OA ?

OA is E. But can someone please clearly explain in what C differs from E?

1. Is it sufficient to say that "concern"="interest"? For me the meaning is the same.

2. "Only people" <> "the only people" ???

C says 'SOME' people. Thats to weak an assumption for the conclusion .
