A - We need an assumption here, this is not one. Out.
B - Weak assumption.
C - Out of scope. We are not talking about other people here.
D - Contrary to question stem.
E - $$$

If you negate it, the argument falls apart... took a lot of time on this one :evil:

Can you elaborate on the difference between E and C?

I am lost...

(C) can not be the correct choice.
Note that it does not say that all interested in improving their intellects are not interested in money.

(E) is the correct choice.

C is interest

E is concerning money, which takes it closer to the argument.

Of course it is between C and E.

Finally settled on (E) because C is making too extreme of an assumption.

I dared to differ from GMAT gurus and I picked D.

Conclusion – Companies rarely hires people who have PhD in liberal Arts.

Assumption: PhDs in Liberal Arts actually interested in joining business world. If they do not at all apply for business jobs and pursue something else, argument falls apart.

What is OA ?

C says 'SOME' people. Thats to weak an assumption for the conclusion .
