Please explain this...I think the OA given is wrong...
Conclusion : Trip by train saves time and money.
Evidence: time - Train journey -4.5 hours, Flight journey - 5 hrs
cost for train and flight tickets are - unkown.
Assumption made: cost of train ticket <cost of flight ticket
To support the conclusion we need a statement which supports the fact:
1.Total cost of train journey <Total cost of flight journey
2.Total time train journey <Total time flight journey
A strengthens. This implies Total cost of train journey <Total cost of flight journey
B Irrelevant. Distance doesnot matter because tain and flight have different speeds. Time taken to travel is relevant.
C strengthens. Flight journey of 5 hours is not the standard.
That implies other flight take less time .So taking the particular flight (5hrs) is not a wise option.
D Irrelevant . COST and time are relevant.
E strengthens. Cash rebate would have lowered the ticket cost.
However we dont know the cash valu eof the rebate and teh cost of the ticket.
I have narrowed down my answers choices to A or C.
I will pick A ( for cost factor)
