Hi,

Even though the OA says D , i am curious - no where in the essay does it imply the overseas chinese have the potential to make an impact on the "World". It clearly says, the overseas chinese have the potential to make huge impacts on China, but not the rest of the world.

Thoughts ?

Question 3

The description of the business structure of the overseas Chinese in the second paragraph of the passage portrays it as rather:

(A) haphazard and fragmented

(B) methodical and impressive.

(C) rigid and inflexible.

(D) ordinary and unimpressive.

(E) elaborate and complex.

OA answer : B

Official Explanation
The author is clearly impressed by the commercial structure and organization of the overseas Chinese. There is no statement made by the author at any point which shows this organization in poor light.

Followup :

Why is E not an option in this case ?
