This passage has so many words and details but could be simplified using Headline Highlights.

1: RE and Cycle of Economy are interdependent. There are 2 models.
Model 1: Econ. Expands - spending encouraged - economy expands further
Model 2: Econ. Downturn - Rates are high - spending less - bad for Econ.

2: Model 1: not always accurate: rise in demand - rise in credit rates - discouraged spending

3: Model 2: based on unwarranted assumptions
Education can solve ignorance, reduce panic

A) refers to detail about model 1, not main idea
B) detail on paragraph 3 only
C) beliefs on the theories leading to downturn, not mentioned
E) elimination of negative effects on market, not mentioned

D) is just right

a good question .The enormous amount of details given and then contradiction of the facts given attempts to confuse the reader .The answer for this question can be obtained by reading the starting sentences of the last 2 paras :)
