chances are you are making use of a technology in food packaging and processing that has revolutionized liquid food storage. The Tetra Pak is of Swedish origin, founded by Ruben Rausing in 1951. Lund, Sweden was the birth place of the Tetra Classic, a tetrahedral package in which innovates within the scope of aseptic processing. The Tetra Pak was first used to package milk in a process that would seal it at ultra-high-temperatures in processing, so that it could be stored under room temperature for a year at a time. This proved great in the case of perishable food sources which could be packaged and then distributed at larger distances, since refrigeration was no longer needed. Tetra Pak has expanded and broadened its product to include different shapes as well as usages. As one of Sweden's largest corporations, Tetra Pak revolutionized the market and also how packaging affects our food, liquids especially and their availability everywhere.
