I have been reading articles in news dailies(NYT,WSJ, The Economist etc. some magazines(US) .... ) for about 6-7 weeks(from a preparation point of view). I have gone through various threads on this forum some of which i'm following now and have benefitted. But i hardly get all questions right in an RC passage with 4 questions; i have a bad habit of re-reading passage while solving questions. I have been very weak in my Verbal so taking a note from this wonderful forum i started reading articles. But, lately, i felt that i might be missing qualitative reading. By that i mean i should be reading articles that at least reflect the nature of GMAT RC passage since most of the parts of the news-dailies are in the form of reporting events. I may be wrong here to say that, however, i believe that its best to go for Opinions, for example.
Also, generally, i have found news-dailies, mostly, cover two aspects(from a GMAT RC passage point of view) - humanities and businesses. So, somehow i am lagging in reading science articles though i think Economist plays a better part on covering scientific articles. I have heard Scientific American is also well read for its science articles.
So, here's a situation: 1. Read specific parts in news-dailies OR 2. Read only one news daily and its will be more than enough
I am reading, primarily, to improve my reading habit and vocabulary. Also, I think i might be putting limits to my literary horizons if i chose the 2nd. What do you guys say??
Looking forward to some wonderful suggestions.
