Dharmin has indicated in another post that the tone of the passage, argument, paragraph, and sentence are hard to crack. So, I'm starting a
new thread to consolidate the discussion on RC passage tones.
Please post the tone question and answer choices along with the part of
the passage that has the information to answer this question.
For example:

Passage extract:
.....
with this paradox in mind, i recently visited 25
companies; it became clear to me that the cost-cutting
approach to increasing productivity is fundamentally
(20) flawed.
...........
there is hope for manufacturing,
but it clearly rests on a different way of managing.

5. the author's attitude toward the culture in most factories is best described as
(a) cautious
(b) critical
(c) disinterested
(d) respectful
(e) adulatory
The answer could be "B" because the authors says in line 5
that the method is flowed.
or
The answer could be "A" because the author says there is a HOPE
for revival.
The think 20 to 25 questions are enough to consolidate most of the
questions related to tones. Everyone is requested to contribute
atleast one question.
