Ask me no questions and I will tell you no lies

Can you show the passage?

ykaiim
Hi all,

I have seen certain RC questions in which it is asked:
Above passage seem to be from:
a. Newspaper
b. Magazine
c. Treatise
d. Biography
e. Research report

OR questions like - The passage is most probably an excerpt from
(A) an economic history of Japan
(B) the memoirs of a samurai warrior
(C) a modern novel about eighteenth-century Japan
(D) an essay contrasting Japanese feudalism with its Western counterpart
(E) an introduction to a collection of Japanese folktales

I usually bowled over by such questions. Can someone provide useful pointers to approach such questions?
