I will go with the 'because of' construction. with that, b/w A and B,
B is more clear.
Some notes from dictionary.com: Because (by cause) is the strongest and most emphatic; as, I hid myself because I was afraid. Since is less formal and more incidental than because; as, I will do it since you request me. It more commonly begins a sentence; as, Since your decision is made, I will say no more.

Let's simplify the SC
A> A was easy task because of X,Y,Z put gold within reach of M
Z is not parallel to X and Y ... doesnt look correct!
B> A was easy task because of X,Y,Z and putting gold ...
Doesnt look good either (wrong structure) though X/Y/Z is parallel....
However if we look at E>
A was easy task since X,Y,Z put gold within reach of M ... sounds correct and X/Y/Z also parallel!
