The folk art historian visited the deep interiors of the tribal communities to study the artists with unique dance patterns, symbolic expressions and exquisite postures

(A) with unique dance patterns, symbolic expressions and exquisite postures

(B) whose patterns of dances exhibited unique symbols and exquisite postures

© who danced uniquely, expressed symbolically and postured exquisitely

(D) with dance patterns that were unique, expressions that were symbolic and postures that were exquisite

(E) whose dances exhibited unique patterns, with symbolic expressions and exquisite postures.
good one. I go for E.
Lets eliminate answer choices A and D because the use of "with" is nonsensical in this context.
B- Comes very close to the answer but there is something awkward about it that keeps me from picking it as the correct answer.
C- It maintains parallelism but thatn again the meaning is not quite clear.

I pick E. I skipped C because "who" is used to refer to the subject of the sentence. Tribal communities is not the main subject, unless I am missing something

I can say - I studied the artist who was talented....

I don't understand why C is wrong...who describes the artist and not the historian

@saxenashobhit: Concept: There is a primary function marked by a main verb in a sentence and then there may be corollary or even secondary function or functions marked by a participle mostly or sometimes a subordinate conjunction. It is not grammatically right to mark all of the functions as equal ones and join by a co-ordinate conjunction such as ( the fanboys) - and or but -

In the given issue, The folk art historian visited ....... to study the artists whose dances exhibited unique patterns ( the main purpose) and those dances exhibited unique patterns with symbolic expressions and exquisite postures, the corollaries. The symbolic expressions and exquisite postures modify the unique patterns and not the dances nor the artists. In the normal times, when they are not dancing, the artists may not be expressing symbolically and keep posturing exquisitely.

By making all the facets equal, Choice C suffers from the malady of illogical predication. C is grammatically perfect but logically not, a common feature of the advanced questions in GMAT

The source is myself and the OA is what I have already given

Maybe I can try to clear up the dust a little.
C is wrong because you have to consider the meaning principle as well.
The phrase "who danced uniquely, expressed symbolically and postured exquisitely" doesn't retain the original meaning of the sentence. It kind of says three different things about the artists: 1) they danced uniquely
2) they expressed symbolically and
3) they postured exquisitely
The original meaning, however, is that the dances of the artist exhibited uniques patterns in that it was expressed symbolically with their exquisite postures.
Remember that don't simply discount an answer just because it looks more wordier than the rest. Concision is always the last weapon to be used.
