agree with (E)..

Natural gas, which, unlike other gases, is clean, easily distributed, and readily combustible, gained its popularity because of its low cost and high efficiency.

1. Natural gas...gained its popularity because of its low cost and high efficiency.
2. which is clean, (which is) easily distributed and (which is) readily combustible.
3. Natural Gas == which == unlike other gases

18. Natural gas, which, unlike other gases, is clean, easy to distribute, and it combusts readily, gained its popularity because of its low cost and high efficiency.

(A) Natural gas, which, unlike other gases, is clean, easy to distribute, and it combusts readily, (B) Unlike other gases, natural gas is clean, easy to distribute, and it combusts readily, and therefore (C) Unlike other gases, natural gas, which is clean, easy to distribute, and it combusts readily, (D) Natural gas, which, unlike other gases, is clean, easily distributed, and combusts readily, (E) Natural gas, which, unlike other gases, is clean, easily distributed, and readily combustible

I think the answer is D. Why D against E?

Parallelism - "easily", "readily" are adverbs and should modify verbs not adjectives. In E, Combustible is a adjective while Combusts is a verb and hence Readily modifies the verb.
Any takers?

E it is
Which one did you pick? so that would points us as to where the confusion is?

In E I was not liking the term....."easily distributed".....the sentence is giving adjectives for the gas.....i.e. "clean", "easily combustible"....shudn't the other one be "easily distributable"....or am I thinking too much ? I cudn't convince myself of any of the choices.
