Is correct answer (a)? why not (b) or (c)?


A is correct. the rate fatty food consumed in B is not correct expression. Similarly, in C, it is alsi unidiomatic to say the rate of people...........

A is correct ..

B is incorrect because "the rate of fatty food consulmed " by whom..so meaning is lost.

C is incorrect "rate of people" though we are concerned with the rate at which people are consuming fat foods

A is good.

B is wrong, Do people consume 'rate of fatty food'. 'you do something at the rate of Y' rate at is the idiom.

C is worng. 'rate at' is the idiom.
