yeah on second hand I'll go for E.

I was thinking about the modifier problem but must've
omitted E without reading it.

E is saying the madagascar periwinkle is cultuivated in china whereas it should be its derivative which is cultivated in China right? This is why I eliminated E.

why is C wrong?

My vote is for E

C is wrong because, you cannot cultivate a derivative. You cultivate a plant and then you get the derivative out of it! Its like saying Im growing orange juice. You grow orange and then get juice from those oranges. What say?

(C) A Madagascar periwinkle derivative, which has proved useful in decreasing mortality among young leukemia patients,

C is wrong because it says the derivative is being cultivated instead of the plant.
