I would choose D.
A and E are not correct because the flow of the sentence is not correct. B is not correct because the use of 'because' is not correct. In C, the use of 'however' is not correct since it seems the second part of the sentence is opposing the first part.

I pick D!
We need to recognize the paradox in this sentence. Even though we have a choice to pick among the music (which means if we do not choose, then there shoudl be no music), there are no slopes without music.
Only D shows this contradiction by using although!

Considering the meaning of this sentence is the key. D is correct answer.

Although shows the implied contradiction that not all skiers want to hear blaring music while on the slopes. Hokkaido resorts do the same thing.

I choose D.

The second part of the sentence says "no slopes without music" so the first part should have a word like "although" hence D is correct.

so it can only be A or D

I would go for D becaue we got there a logical connector with "although"
