let's see. exercise is || with associate.

so A and B is out.

we have C, D and E

D is out because it is using they have become sick less.....
we don't need any present perfect tense. so D is out.

now between C and E we need to see that it is a conditional sentence.

so if + present + will needs to be followed.

so E is out and we need to choose C.

C is the right answer. here.

It should be 'E'
for simple present tense throughout.

Good stuff GClubbies!

OA is E.

OE:

Step One: Spot the Concept Tested
Lists
Spot: Look for conjunctions and/or multiple descriptions.
Step Two: Check the Rule and Decide on a Fix
A list must be of all nouns or all verbs and must be balanced. Since the first part of the list starts with 兎xercise・then the second part of the list should have the verb 殿ssociate・in the same tense. Look for an answer that doesn稚 have 殿ssociated・and has 殿ssociate・instead to agree in tense and keep the list balanced.
Step Three: Process of Elimination
Eliminate A, B, and C
Step Four: Chunk and Compare
D versus E
塗ave become sick less and will maintain・versus ・become sick less and maintain・br> D is much wordier and doesn稚 verbs that agree in tense. 塗ave become・and 努ill・are different tenses where 澱ecome・and 杜aintain・are the same tense. Eliminate D
Step Five: Reread the Sentence and Choose an Answer
Choose E

what about the comparison ?

"than do those who spent more time indoors."

"than those who spent more time indoors."

is it not neccessary compare action with action rather than noun with noun ? or is it case of ellipsis ?
