(E).

(C) is having pronoun reference problem. "it" can have multiple references.

But the use of it in C is dubious... it could refer to the closest noun incipent trouble.... :(

i even didnot consider it as a possible one as i didnot see the Subject immidiately after the modifying phrase "being.......".

Note that (E) is having Subject - Verb inversion.
