Defenitely confusing. I would also pick E.

When the second part says "had to be destroyed" -- Essentially providing the reason for something to be destroyed. I would think that reason was "broken leg" and it is the horse that had to be destroyed.

has to be E. I never see these type of questions where the diff is only commas.

The horse, ridden by the experienced jockey with the broken leg, had to be destroyed.

(A) horse, ridden by the experienced jockey with the broken leg, had

this says that jockey has a broken leg then why we destroyed the horse.

(B) horse ridden by the experienced jockey with the broken leg had

same as A.

(C) horse with the broken leg ridden by the experienced, jockey had

jockey had to be destroyed or horse??????

(D) horse with the broken leg ridden by the experienced jockey, had

This also seems good but a comma will make good parallel.

(E) horse with the broken leg, ridden by the experienced jockey, had

Seems good for logical meaning and ||ism.

E. Most of the sentences are run on....... creating confusion. E states the intent clearly

hey ps_dahiya,

excellent explanation...
I was totally confused by who should be destroyed, and there are no official explanations to this, so that is why I posted it...

:done

thanks,
u2lover

PS OA is E
