It's D

1) Health benefits come - Therefore A and B are out
2) C doesn't make sense because of the last "and"
3) E is not parallel

Most of the purported health benefits ---- the health benefits are countable indefinite and hence the sentence will take a plural verb.

For an extremely enlightening discussion on SVA, I suggest going through this page

https://grammar.ccc.commnet.edu/grammar/sv_agr.htm

Excerpt from the above -

Some indefinite pronouns — such as all, some — are singular or plural depending on what they're referring to. (Is the thing referred to countable or not?) Be careful choosing a verb to accompany such pronouns.

Some of the beads are missing.
Some of the water is gone.

Wanted to add:
As per MGMAT SC there are 5 such indefinite pronouns (There may be more but most relevent to GMAT are 5) SANAM
S - Some
A - Any
N - None
A - All
M - Most

Can someone please explain a little more on why not C?

Could narrow down to C and D and picked C because "that" in D at both the places seemed un-necessary.
