Hello,

First question - I can't find any idioms for "in which" or "where".

Second question - Barron is not a good book? I have seen so many discussion on the Gmat Club here but are there any good references other than OG11 and Verbal Review?

Many thanks

Hello,

Please help on the following sentence:

No student had ought to be put into a situation where he has to choose between his loyalty to his friends and his duty to the class.

a) No student had ought to be put into a situation where
b) No student had ought to be put into a situation in which
c) No student should be put into a situation where
d) No student ought to be put into a situation in which
e) No student ought to be put into a situation where

The OA is D

The question I have is, why not E. I thought "in which" can be used as "where". What is the difference between them?

Thanks

On test a day I would choose D.. I think where can also be used.. But where is used also for locations.. here somehow which sounds more clearer.. not sure if this helps..:)

had ought sound strange I have never heard such thing and in which sounds awkward now down to C and E should be kept ought to in order to not change the sentence meaning....

I have no idea about ARCO 2006 but I guarantee that ARCO LSAT is excellent for CRs eventhough there are only 50-60 questions.

Yep, avoid Barron`s at all costs. It`s a "blacklisted" book.
