The rabbit population has increased unchecked in recent years as a result of the removal of the native fox population and the clearing of surrouding woodlands.
A. same B. years as a result of removing C. years, resulting from the removing of D. years, which is a result of removing E. years, which is a result of the removal of

Torn between B and C, would choose C.
A: Not parallel. "the removal" is parallel to "the clearance", not "the clearing" B: "as a result of removing" is parallel to "as a result of clearing", not "as a result of the clearing" C: resulting from "the removing of"....and "the clearing of"...seems parallel, though I don't like the "resulting from the removing" too much. D & E are out because of "which"

Nothing wrong in A. It holds the ||ism.
The rabbit population has increased unchecked in recent years as a result of the removal of the native fox population and the clearing of surrouding woodlands.
- Both 'removal' and 'clearing' are noun here and are ||.
A stands.
'removal of' is better than ' removing '. B,C and D are out.
E is out because of 'which'.
The rabbit population has increased unchecked in recent years as a result of the removal of the native fox population and the clearing of surrouding woodlands.
The rabbit population has increased unchecked in recent years as a result of the removal of the native fox population and the clearing of surrouding woodlands.
A. same
A is my choice. Maintains parallelism and is free of modifier errors.
B. years as a result of removing
as a result of removing ... and the clearing are not parallel
C. years, resulting from the removing of
Other than the fact that resulting from the removing of is awkward, this particular choice is plagued with another very interesting error ---- The opening phrase,
The rabbit population has increased unchecked in recent years, resulting from the removing of
The participle resulting modifies the noun "rabbit population" suggesting that the "rabbit population" came about as a result of removing the native fox population ...
D. years, which is a result of removing
again, the relative pronoun which modifies rabbit population - suggests that the rabbit population is a result of removing the fox population ..
E. years, which is a result of the removal of
removal and clearing are not parallel. Besides, the which still modifies the rabbit population like it does in D.
